Press release on the approval of the draft Prakas on licensing and management of digital asset businesses
On 24 December 2025, the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) issued a press release regarding the approval of the draft Prakas on “Licensing and Management of Digital Asset Businesses” by the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (FSA) Council, with the objectives to:
- Establish conditions and procedures for granting and renewing licenses for digital asset service providers and agents.
- Ensure market integrity, transparency, and order within the digital asset sector.
- Protect investors and define the obligations of digital asset service providers and related persons.
